Kim Kardashian receives more pregnancy related criticism (Photos)

A simple trip to grab fro-yo, as Kim Kardashian did on Wednesday, April 3, can spawn harsh criticism for the first-time expectant mom. Kim’s outing to Sweethearts in Sherman Oaks on Wednesday prompted Mail Online to run a headline, “Busting out! Pregnant Kim Kardashian struggles to contain her famous curves in a VERY revealing maxi dress.”

Kim, who is now 6 months into her pregnancy, has spent the majority of it being criticized for her attire and weight gain. Kim’s ensemble at Sweethearts looked chic and comfortable, yet the reality star was chastised for “her ample cleavage.” And then there’s the huge debate over Kim’s weight … no pun intended.

InTouch ran a story on April 3, “Pregnant Kim Kardashian Indulges in Cravings: Chicken and Waffles, Risotto, Decadent Desserts and More,” in which the magazine states that Kim claims a 20-pound weight gain and challenges the alleged claim by guessing that Kim has actually gained 65 pounds. The article then proceeds to bash Kim’s alleged “high-calorie” eating habits and claims that baby daddy, Kanye West, has abandoned her leading Kim to “eat her feelings.” Didn’t the pair just spend time Paris together?

According to the Mayo Clinic, “There's no one-size-fits-all approach to pregnancy weight gain. How much weight you need to gain depends on various factors, including your pre-pregnancy weight and body mass index (BMI).”

Love her or hate her, there needs to be a bit of respect for this first time mom. Not to mention which, the intense criticism of a high-profile pregnant celebrity is not sending a healthy message to other pregnant women. Jenna Dewan-Tatum best summed it up on Twitter, “Lets all be kind to every woman out there who is expecting … it shouldn't be about how much weight someone has gained, their fashion etc … it's a beautiful amazing moment in time and not about vanity!”
