On Feb. 9, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were far away from their Los Angeles base while the City of Angels amps up for the Grammys to be held in Tinseltown on Sunday. Instead, the two celebrities were in Brazil, enjoying a bounty of top-rate tourist attractions in this South American hot spot, according to Yahoo! by way of Access Hollywood.
Kim was quick to post a picture on her Instagram account of herself getting ready to take on the town while sharing this important Brazil experience via social media. The photo shows Kimmy K wearing a very colorful outfit that is definitely on point for this destination. She had on a shocking pink dress and neon yellow Louboutin heels.
While in Rio de Janeiro, otherwise known as the party city, the rapper and the mother-to-be visited the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue. Kim and Kanye posed with arms outstretched near the giant sculpture, imitating how Christ stands for eternity in Brazil. This was probably a highlight of the couple's Brazil visit, especially for Kanye who once wrote the rap tune, "Jesus Walks."
Meanwhile, Kimye also enjoyed the Braseiro Gavea restaurant for lunch on Saturday. The couple, who seem to be very much in love, took advantage of this place that has been dubbed the best place to flirt in Rio.
Located in the heart of hip Low Gavea, this beloved brasserie that's quite low key despite its reputation for being a fun-loving hot spot, boasts sausage with onions and breaded provolone as popular menu items.
However, the yummy top sirloin is the meal of choice for those in the know at this top dining spot. Whether or not Kim and/or Kanye tried the beef is not known but it's probably safe to say that Kardashian didn't enjoy any of the fancy alcoholic beverages on the menu since she is pregnant.
That said, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been doing a lot of traveling lately, which is probably a good idea since this kind of activity will be tough to do once Kimmy K is further along in her pregnancy that is said to end in July when her baby is to be born. Besides taking on Rio, Brazil, on Feb. 9, Kimye visited Paris, France for fashion week, making headlines for that trip, too.
