Kim Kardashian is getting the jump on her pregnancy fitness and has already started working with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson to minimize weight gain and optimize health.
"Tracy Anderson is keeping me in shape!" Kardashian blogged. "She is helping me make the adjustments necessary to keep me feeling happy, healthy and most importantly, create a workout plan that is safe for the baby.
"It’s really important for me to have a fitness routine that works for my body and my schedule, and I’m really happy with the workout plan Tracy is working with me on."
Anderson recently helped Kim's sister, Kourtney, lose 44 pounds just six months after she gave birth to her second child. Kim says Kourtney, 33, is her pregnancy weight-loss role model.
"How incredible does Kourt look!?" Kim gushed. "She has lost 44 pounds in six months since giving birth to Penelope and looks better than ever. She is an inspiration to me! While we were in Miami we would always work out together and keep each other motivated and I am so proud of her!"
Anderson, who previously trained Madonna, helped actress Gwyneth Paltrow regain her slender pre-baby body and continues to be her workout guru. In August 2012, Tracy came under fire after slamming mothers who use pregnancy as an excuse to gain excess weight and remain overweight.
Tracy, who gave birth to her second child in May 2012, gained 30 pounds while pregnant and lost all of it six weeks afterward.
“A lot of women use pregnancy as an excuse to let their bodies go, and that’s the worst thing,” said Tracy, 37. "I’ve seen so many women who come to me right after [having children] with disaster bodies that have gone through hell, or they come to me years later and say, 'Oh, my body is like this because I had three kids.' "
Following angry outcries from moms, Anderson quickly backtracked on the comments.
