Kim Kardashian might be the most famous of all reality TV personalities, but the top clothes designers seem to have her on somewhat of a black list. When top fashion stylist, Nicola Formichetti, tried to create just the right fashion look for Kim’s photo shoot for Elle in the March 2013 issue, he was met with some negative reactions, according to Radaronline on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.
It seems that designers are refusing to lend out their clothes for Kim Kardashian to wear for this photo shoot. Formichetti refers to this as “fashion snobbery.” This has posed a challenge for the famed stylist. He approached several well-know designers and his requests for designer apparel for Kim to wear in the Elle shoot were declined.
Formichetti said, “people won’t lend me the clothes, but that’s fashion.” He ended up working with what they were finally given and he managed to put together “several looks” for Kim to wear. Does Kim rub the fashion world the wrong way?
You'd think that designers would embrace the chance to get their creations out there and if they are on Kim Kardashian's back they would definitely be out there! Kim has fans all around the world. Just think of the exposure that a designer would get by having Kim don their clothes.
