Kim Kardashian's fertility issues were similar to those of her younger sister Khloe, who has been trying desperately to have a baby with her basketball playing hubby Lamar Odom. However, Kim kept mum about her issues until after announcing that she and Kanye West were expecting a baby. With her fertility problems, Kim must have been shocked to discover that she and Kanye West were going to become parents. She finally shared her struggle with fertility during a television appearance on Jan. 15, 2013, according to Yahoo!
"Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine, and I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens," Kim revealed to a surprised audience during an appearance on NBC's 'Today.' She continued, "I think it's just such a blessing knowing my circumstances."
With Kim Kardashian's fertility issues, it makes sense that she was reportedly planning to freeze her eggs shortly before she and West discovered she was pregnant. She obviously wanted children in the future. With her fertility problems, she likely thought it would be a lot more difficult for her to conceive especially after watching her sister's struggle to get pregnant. Congratulations to the happy couple on their miracle baby.
