Kim Kardashian did a deposition Tuesday as part of her divorce case against Kris Humphries, her husband of 72 days. According to the March 21 report on MSN Wonderwall, Kim Kardashian told Lee Hutton, Kris Humphries’ attorney, that she was “in love” with Humphries when she accepted his marriage proposal.
Kris Humphries is seeking an annulment from Kardashian, claiming that he was a victim of fraud regarding his involvement in “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding,” a major media event on E!.
According to Radar Online, Humphries contends that Kim is planting news stories anonymously to make him look bad. His attorney extensively questioned Kim Kardashian to determine what media outlets she regularly talks to, but she refused to answer.
There were rumors circulating that a miscarriage scare that she experienced was due to stress generated from the divorce proceedings which Humphries is attempting to stop. Humphries’ attorney also led Kardashian through a round of questioning in the divorce deposition to establish that her very exhausting travel schedule probably caused any of the said problems.
Kris Humphries is delaying the divorce because he thinks that since the marriage was a sham, he should receive an annulment instead of a divorce. This may be in deference to his religious faith. TMZ reported in 2011:
"Kris Humphries desperately tried to save his marriage to Kim Kardashian, because he's telling friends ... he doesn't believe in divorce."
The divorce is set to go to trial on May 6.
