After you've received the proposal of the century from Kanye West, lost more than 50 pounds and shown off your newly sleek physique in designer attire, and - oh yes - immersed yourself in planning what will be the wedding of the century (or at least the most expensive), is anything left for Kim Kardashian? Apparently so, as the designer dress derriere-flaunting diva has decided to learn pole dancing, reported the Huffington Post on Feb. 10.

The 33-year-old reality star and new mommy showed off her newly purchased pair of lucite platform heels (also known as stripper heels) in her hand as she and her pole-dancing pals invested their hard-earned money at Sheila Kelley's S Factor in Encino, Calif.

Who's Sheila? She's the woman who put the pole back in dancing. You may recognize her from her acting roles in "Sisters" and "L.A. Law," but Sheila also earned attention for her "S Factor" (i.e., Stripping Factor) classes and accompanying products, including fitness DVDs such as "S Factor : Polework 101" and a book "The S Factor: Strip Workouts for Every Woman."

True to the family mantra (Keeping Up with the Kardashians), Kim's 58-year-old mother Kris accompanied her, tastefully attired in a spandex leotard, leather jacket and heels.

Proud of her pole-dancing prowess, Kim posted a photo on Instagram featuring the group in fishnets, leaning up against the pole.

But can she really achieve her goal of shedding for the wedding (Kim has said she wants to lose 10 pounds more) by doing pole-dancing? Well, maybe. Fitness NYC reports that one class includes a 45-minute workout, from a warm-up to playing on the pole and learning to use your, ahem, assets, to learning the art of lap dancing and freestyle (which perhaps Kim could parlay into a very unique wedding waltz).

As for calories burned, the S-Factor compares the class to a combination of Jazzercise and yoga. Translation: A class could burn between 200 to 500 calories per hour, depending on your weight, height and stripping effort. And Kim's not the only celebrity using pole-dancing for weight loss.

Carmen Electra also has discovered its benefits, and even created her own fitness DVD set: "Aerobic Striptease Collection - Carmen's Fitness Collection" (click for details). And the Pussycat Dolls have joined in the fun with the Pussycat Dolls Workout (click for more information).
