Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have made it clear that they do not want their child growing up in front of cameras. According to a report published by MTV News on Jan. 16, the stars also want the birth to remain private.
The baby is due in July, but Kim is already making preparations to help her child live the most normal life possible. The person who is most important is not Kim Kardashian or Kanye West... but the baby.
Most people would never agree to have their childbirth filmed so the entire world could watch and celebrities are no different. Well, except for Kourtney Kardashian, who televised the birth of both of her children.
While some stars crave the spotlight for themselves, there is something about carrying a child for nine months and having an intense love for another human being that makes you want to protect them. Kim has not had a pleasant experience in front of the cameras with sex tapes, a brutal divorce and other problems that have been aired to the public. While some say that is the price of fame, people should consider how they would feel if they were in Kim's shoes.
Children who grow up in the spotlight already have a tough road. Sure, it seems that with all that money and fame things would be easy for them. However, if they are not shielded from the cameras, then they run the risk of the media following them everywhere they go. They are constantly criticized for their weight, height, appearance, clothing and even their hobbies. They try to keep what is going on in their personal life private only to read about it in the paper or on the Internet the next morning.
Even though the media will no doubt try to sneak into the hospital to get the first photographs of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby, they should respect their decision to allow them to simply enjoy the miracle of childbirth.
