Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally make it on the cover of Vogue. It seems that Kanye’s persistence with the fashion editors finally paid off. According to NY Daily News, March 21, 2014, they will appear in the April issue. Their segment is called, Kim & Kanye Their Fashionable Life and Surreal Times.
The cover shows Kim in a sleeveless white gown, which is reported to be a Lanvin wedding gown. Kanye is behind her, with his arms around her waist, his chin touching her bare shoulder.
Inside the magazine are more pictures, including them holding baby North West, who is also wearing a white gown.
Kim announced on Twitter, "This is such a dream come true!!! Thank you @VogueMagazine for this cover! OMGGGGGG!!! I can't even." She posted the message twice in case anyone missed it the first time, but the links are different in each message. One takes you to Instagram where she has the Vogue cover posted. The other link takes you to Vogue where you can watch the behind-the-scenes video.
Kanye simply tweeted, "#TRILL Thank you @voguemagazine."
Annie Leibovitz photographed the couple. She has an extensive portfolio that includes John Lennon, Lady Gaga, and Queen Elizabeth II.
Ann Wintour, Editor of Vogue denies that Kim was chosen for the cover shoot because of Kanye’s persistence. She said, "My opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue’s cover. He did nothing of the sort."
Kanye told Ryan Seacrest last year: "There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. She's like the most intriguing woman right now. She's got Barbara Walters calling her like every day."
What do you think? Do you think that Kanye persuaded Ann Wintour to do the cover shot with Kim because he kept asking her? Do you think it would have looked better if Ann had waited longer before she chose them for the cover?
