Kim Kardashian and Kanye West triggered an airport security investigation at JFK Airport in New York. According to Hollywood Gossip on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, Kim and Kanye bypassed security when they were whisked on the flight by an airport employee.
This caused the Hollywood power couple to be taken off the plane and put through security, delaying the flight for about an hour. They were given this special treatment by an airport employee, who thought it would speed things up, but this went against TSA rules.
When Kim and Kanye touched down at JFK an airport employee escorted them through an area that is not used for the public to get them on their flight to L.A. He was providing “expedited access to their domestic flight,” according to Hollywood Gossip. The employee permitted the two to bypass the TSA checkpoint, which is something that’s not done for anyone, or it least it shouldn’t be according to the TSA protocol.
Kim and Kanye boarded the flight again and took off for home. The TSA is actively investigating this incident. While the couple often get special treatment from restaurants to stores, it seems that the TSA doesn't fall into the special treatment for celebrities category!
