Kim & Kanye to have three wedding ceremonies: 'It's the wedding of the century'

If you think Kim Kardashian's $10 million wedding was over the top when she married her now ex, Kris Humphries, in 2011, the reality star is about to outdo herself when she marries Kanye West on May 24, 2014. According to Radar Online, Kim and Kanye will have not one, but three ceremonies to celebrate their nuptials. The couple will marry first in the U.S. and then have two wedding ceremonies in France.

Extravagance is not the only reason for multiple ceremonies, instead legal issues make it necessary. Although it has been reported that Kanye wants his marriage to Kardashian to be "the wedding of the century," Radar Online reports that the couple's lawyers have recommended that they marry in the U.S. to avoid possible legal trouble abroad.

Radar's source states, "Typically, the U.S. recognizes citizens getting married in France, but dealing with a foreign government and paperwork could be a nightmare. So just to make sure it’s legal, Kim and Kanye will first be having a civil ceremony in Southern California."

France has a residency requirement in place that states that at least one of the two must live in France for at least 40 days prior to the wedding. Kanye does own an apartment in Paris, but it is not a home he lives in full time.

It is not certain if the local government will consider him to be a full-time resident in light of the big wedding, so his attorney is not taking any chances. The couple will reportedly marry in California prior to their big wedding day in Paris.

Kim and Kanye's main wedding will be held on May 24, 2014 and Kim will reportedly have three outfit changes on that day. Rumors are swirling around the web that it will be held at Chateau de Louveciennes and it will be, as expected, extravagant.

There will be two ceremonies in France due to laws in that country. According to WeddingsinFrance.com, French law states that a couple must have a religious ceremony after a civil ceremony. That makes three ceremonies for Kim and Kanye and hopefully that's a lucky number considering this is marriage number three for Kim.
