Is Kim K having a secret wedding? Apparently Kim Kardashian and Kanye West might be forced to get married before their scheduled May wedding date. On April 12, The Mirror reported that the couple will be prohibited from officially tying the knot in Paris in May as planned because the law in France states that foreigners must live in the country for 40 days in order to get married there legally.
While Kanye West does own an apartment in France, the mayor will have the final decision on whether or not to take that into account. Technically West doesn't "live" in France and he isn't a "resident" so he and Kim might be stuck. This means that the couple will get their marriage license and actually be legally married here in The States before they head to France to film their "big day."
A Kim K secret wedding wouldn't be super surprising because it's not like she and Kanye are trying to be sneaky about it. The fact of the matter is that they were recently informed that getting married in Paris as they had planned probably isn't going to work. By getting married in The States before heading overseas, the couple will technically be saying their vows twice -- but it will be the first time in front of family and friends (and the world).
According to Hollywood Life, Kim Kardashian is planning on wearing two wedding dresses on the day of her wedding. Kim has chosen designer Riccardo Tisci to design the second dress that she will be wearing -- likely to the reception. The first dress is reportedly still a toss up (even though Kim's wedding day is only one month away) between Lanvin, and Monique Lhuillier. As far as style, it has been reported that Kim will be wearing something more fitting and less "poofy" like she previously wore when she married Kris Humphries.
If Kim K is forced to have a secret wedding, chances are the paparazzi won't know about it. However, a marriage license is considered public record and it won't be hard for a site like TMZ to get their hands on it. Kim and Kanye will have to get married as close to their wedding day to avoid this.
