Kim Kardashian's court date with Kris Humphries has been set for May 6, according to many sources including TMZ on Feb. 15.
Even though Kardashian split from Humphries after just 72 days of marriage back in Nov, 2011, the dissolution of this extremely brief marriage has been dragged out in a way that is stressing out the 32-year-old celebrity. Since an amicable settlement could not be made, hence keeping divorce proceedings out of court, the trial in now on and with a definitive date for that formal hearing to happen.
This is not what the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star had hoped for as far as finalizing her marriage to the basketball player. She wanted to finish this business with her ex-husband in March, hoping to be done with this phase of her life as she waits to bring new life into the world.
By way of background, the high-profile television personality is pregnant with Kanye West's child, and she fears her divorce from Humphries, which has taken far too long in her estimation, may bring with it "long term effects" with regard to Kimye's baby.
In fact, in a big scare regarding her unborn child, Kim K has recently suffered sharp abdominal pains. After being examined by her doctor, she was told to reduce the stress in her life. Kris Jenner, Kim's so-called "momager," echoed that prescription for her daughter from her first marriage if Kim is to have a healthy baby.
Kris Jenner reported, "Kim...has been under a lot of stress because of [the long wait to divorce]...The doctors told her...stress could become a problem if she isn't careful."
Meanwhile, TMZ says that one of Kris' lawyers cited "irreconcilable differences" of his own while seeking to opt out of representing Humphries. Sources close to the entertainment news outlet said that "the lawyer felt Kris was full of BS [for] wanting an annulment because there was no proof of fraud [in this case]."
Even if this is true, Kim K must wait. She must waits to have her baby in July and she also must wait to have her court date with Kris Humphries in May. Hopefully, she can do all this waiting in a calm way in order to protect the health of her unborn child.
