Kim Kardashian is setting the record straight after widespread reports claiming she is planning to quit her family's reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" after season nine. The original reports were prompted by a statement Kim made during an interview with DuJour magazine. Kardashian fans immediately inundated the queen of reality tv over her plans to walk away from KUWTK, prompting her to clarify in a blog post late Wednesday. In it, she basically confirms: I'm not quitting "Keeping Up with the Kardashians"... at least not yet.
Here's the full statement:
"I know that many of you have read the Dujour Magazine interview I just did. In the article, I was asked about continuing on with “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” As everyone knows, we are extremely proud of the show and all of us are staying on through at least season 10.
The show remains to be my number 1 priority and it’s a big part of my life and I enjoy every moment of it. It has given me such a rare opportunity to share more of my life with all of you and has brought my family closer to each other. I’m looking forward to the new season and beyond.
The fact is that I have many goals that I still need to reach and accomplish and I (like so many of you) don’t know where my life will be in the next couple of years, but I’m looking forward to continuing this journey."
As Examiner.com previously reported "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" Season 8 started filming earlier this month. It will premiere on E! in June and Kim's pregnancy is expected to be a major storyline.
Kim and Kanye West's baby is due the following month and the couple has stated repeatedly they plan to keep their baby off reality television. That would mean, as a new mom, Kim will film at least two more seasons of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," but without including baby Kimye.
