Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest and other celebrities have joined a new campaign called ‘The Digital Life Sacrifice’ on behalf of Keys' charity, ‘Keep a Child Alive.’ The celebrities plan to sign off of all social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday, which is ‘World AIDS Day.’ The celebrities will end their ‘Digital Life Sacrifice’ when the charity raises $1 million.
"We're trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we're all from?" said Leigh Blake, the president and co-founder of ‘Keep a Child Alive.’
For the campaign, Jennifer Hudson, Lady Gaga, Usher, Ryan Seacrest, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams, Janelle Monae and Keys' husband, Swizz Beatz, celebrities have filmed ‘last tweet and testament’ videos and appear in ads showing them lying in coffins to represent what the campaign calls their digital deaths for World AIDS Day.
Ryan Seacrest’s last tweet stated, “We’re "dying digitally" to raise $1 MILLION for World AIDS Day. Help & text “SEACREST” to 90999 to donate $10. RT!”

With Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian having over 11 million followers on Twitter alone it should not take very long to raise the million dollars for the ‘Keep a Child Alive’ organization, however, some Kardashian and Seacrest fans are upset over the celebs participation in ‘The Digital Life Sacrifice’ making comments via Twitter stating:
“@RyanSeacrestI love it when someone signs a $60M contract and then asks me for $10. Maybe you could make it easy and donate the mil?”.... “this is an absolutely disgusting way to raise money. making death vanity. truly shameful.” … “@KhloeKardashian Unemployment expired today. How will 1000's eat? Buy your own life back! Raid Lamar's piggy bank”
