My sweet tooth was quite pleased when I discovered that Kilwin's was one of the Orlando Food Tours stop. I happen to live near a Kilwin's, so I'm very familiar with their amazing array of ice cream flavors and homemade fudge and candies.
Given our location, it was quite fitting that we got a scoop of Winter Park Mud ice cream, along with a nice little chunk of fudge that instantly fulfilled my US RDA of chocolate for the day. The store's popularity was apparent, with a steady stream of people continually mobbing the ice cream counter.
As you can see in the slideshow accompanying this article, the display counters at Kilwin's are also jam packed with such goodies as caramel covered apples, freshly made candies, and other delicious treats. You can even get your ice cream served up in a freshly made waffle cone. It's virtually impossible to step into this store without emerging with some type of tasty goodie, which I know all too well from visiting the one in my home town.
The tour was almost over, with only one more stop to make, and that was a sweet one too. Use the links below to jump to that stop or to visit any of the other places I went with Orlando Food Tours.
