Kadokawa Games confirmed today that Suda 51's upcoming action game Killer is Dead will be released worldwide on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. XSEED Games will be publishing the game in North America while Deep Silver will be publishing it in Europe.

The game is being developed jointly by Grasshopper Manufacture (Killer7, No More Heroes, and Lollipop Chainsaw) and Kadokawa Games (known for publishing several notable manga including Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Tenchi Muyo!).

The main character of Killer is Dead is named Mondo Zappa. Mondo has a cybernetic left arm that can be converted into various types of weapons. He also wields a sword. The game takes place in the near future and features a distinctive cel-shaded graphical style. Check out some recently released screenshots in the slide show above.
