Killer 63, Ottawa's resident yearly horror, short filmfest, will take place this weekend at the Mayfair. This is the sixth year that the festival has run and is a great way to see some of the darker work done by local film directors. Several short films will be screened including "Mask of James Henry", "The House on Arch Lane" and "Games Night", which is the directorial debut for local, independent film actor, Islam Balbaa. All the films will be aimed at getting you in the mood for Halloween, so if you don't like leaving the theatre scared, this may not be the best way to dip your toes into Ottawa local film. But if you're game, then this would be a great way to get ready for the scariest season of the year!
