When Sherese and Mike Fralin moved from New York City to Chicago, Kidville soon followed. The Fralins are opening their own franchised Kidville, a children's activity center, in September in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood.
It will be the first Kidville in the Midwest.
The Fralins, who have two children, enjoyed Kidville in New York City but were surprised not to find something similar when they moved to Chicago in 2011.
"There is just something special about Kidville that makes families feel like they are part of a community," Sherese Fralin said. "You not only watch your child evolve and grow from their experiences but you make friends with the families and children who grow up together."
The 5,200-square-foot facility will have three large classrooms, a state-of-the-art indoor play area, a retail shop and children's salon. It will offer themed birthday parties, along with a whole host of classes for children, newborn through 6. Classes include art, dance, preschool alternative and camps. “Kidville Lincoln Park is filling a void in the marketplace,” Fralin said. "Instead of going to one place for art, one for music and one for dance, parents can take their kids to the same facility for all these different types of classes.”
Kidville operates locations across the globe including New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Dubai.
