The mall at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem will be home to a new kid friendly activity center and arcade. New Horizon Kids Quest. The activity center will feature planned arts and craft for the youngsters, a rock climbing wall, and babysitting services. The arcade is open to all, but children under 12 must be with an adult.

The 16,000 square feet center, which will be located at the end of the mall, will charge an hourly rate for supervised activities based upon the child's age and time of day. Babies, as young as six weeks old, and kids, up to twelve year old can be scheduled with a caretaker. The caretaker will be over 18, CPR trained, and educated in age appropriate games, nutrition, and behavior techniques.

The parent company, Minnesota based Kids Quest/Cyber Quest, which operates these activities centers throughout casinos nationwide, announced this is their first for the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area. The entire center is developed around providing a kid friendly safe haven while the parents shop, eat or enjoy entertainment.

The facility is being offered as a type of guest service for casino patrons. Bethlehem has seen its share of adults run into trouble by leaving their kids unsupervised in cars while they gamble. The state, casino, and activity center operator, now believes that this gives them a safer, more viable option.
