Kids bowl free at local bowling alleys

Need something to do on those hot August days when it's just too hot to be outside?  Now you can take your children bowling (in a nice, air-conditioned bowling alley) for free!

From the Kids Bowl Free website: "This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.

Children whose age does not exceed a limit by a participating bowling center are eligible to register for 2 free games a day, all summer long, courtesy of the participating bowling centers along with the schools and organizations."

To register, find your local bowling alley from this list.  This offer is available all over the United States and in Canada.  After you click on the link for your preferred bowling alley, you will complete a short registration form.  You will be offered the choice to purchase a family pass, which is a discounted bowling pass for the rest of your family.  You don't have to buy this, but remember that when you take your kids to bowl for free, their excitement might be contagious!

The Ann Arbor locations that are participating in this promotion are Colonial Lanes, located at 1950 S. Industrial Highway, and Bel-Mark Lanes, located at 3530 Jackson Road.   At these locations, children 15 and under can bowl for free.

This program ends on 8/31/10, so act quickly to make the most of your free games!

I will consider this because now the bowling alleys will be smoke free!!!! Which is why before May 1st I would not have taken them to a bowling alley with all that smoke!
