This was written to educate and bring awareness to kidney diseases within our black communities, where it is most prevalent. The third annual "Health And Awareness Connection" will be having a hero award dinning and fundraising event o March 15, 2014. Their goal is to address the growing needs of health change and is open to the public, veterans, military, as well as patients.

It is important that people 50 years ad older go through screening, especially if they have a history of hypertension, gout, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease. There are screening demonstrations currently going on and all are encouraged to get checked especially if you have a family history of the mentioned conditions. This is a great way to help catch these different types of diseases before they get worse.

If you are in the area of Norfolk, VA, please go out and support this event which will be held at the "Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church" located at 1057 Kennedy Street, Norfolk, VA 23513. You will be helping out a great event, while helping save lives all at the same time. There will be special guest in attendance on March 14, 2014 and the fundraiser starts at 8:00pm until 12:00am. Then on March 15, 2014 "A Public Awareness Connection Event" will be held at 10:00am to 7:00pm at the same location, your support is greatly needed.
