Kid Kash has been re-signed to TNA Wrestling, according to PWInsider. This comes on the heels of the release of three of TNA’s current roster members.
Kash is a long-time pro wrestling journeyman who first debuted back in 1990. He first made his name in Extreme Championship Wrestling in the late ‘90s where he was one of the promotion’s final Television Champions. He also had a couple lengthy runs in the early days of TNA Wrestling, winning both the TNA X-Division Championship and the NWA World Tag Team Championship.
He joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2005 and won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and formed a semi-successful tag team with Jaime Noble, known as the Pitbulls. He was released from WWE in Septemeber 2007, and has since been wrestling on the independent circuit.
Kash made a return to TNA a few weeks back where he battled Austin Aries and Jimmy Rave in a triple threat match to advance to a match at Destination X. Kash lost that match to Aries, who ended up winning the fatal four way on the pay per view and earning a full-time TNA contract.
So even though Kash lost in the contract tournament it is obvious that he impressed TNA officials enough to get a second look. Hopefully Kash will not be the only recent X-Division tryout that will be offered a full-time contract as others during the tournament, including Low Ki, Jimmy Yang, Jack Evans, Tony Nese, Zima Ion and Dakota Darsow, certainly impressed and would be welcome additions to TNA’s roster.
