According to the American Diabetes Association, the prevalence of diabetes among young Americans (children and teens) has been consistently increasing over the past decade. Other than encouraging exercise for 60 minutes a day, many parents should also prepare healthy, but also tasty, meals for their sons and daughters to consume. In order to help with this, the Biggest Loser has provided some great recipes that can be found here.
An example recipe: Sweet and Sour Chicken Stir-Fry
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Ground black pepper, to taste
1 pound trimmed boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size cubes
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 cup 1/2"-wide strips onion (about 1" long)
1 cup 1/2"-wide strips green bell pepper (about 1" long)
2 tablespoons freshly minced garlic
1/4 cup bottled sweet and sour stir-fry sauce (La Choy)
