The album begins with a long dark instrumental titled the Resurrection of Scott Mescudi. Unfuckwittable is the real first track he is toned down on the lyric portions, I like how he rides the heartbeats of the instrumental. Just What I am features King Chip, he talks about his daily routine. Young Lady is song about girls with a spiritual or anti-spiritual sounding chorus and vibe. King Wizard is a classic Kudi track and follows with Immortal another great track. I didn't like Solo Dolo featuring Kendrick Lamar, but I like the experimentation.
The track Girls features Too $hort and is the most commercial track on the album. On Red Eye Kudi does lyrics over a very offbeat awkward beat, but it sounds good. Mad Solar is a great mellow song you can smoke to. Beez features Wu-Tangs Rza, who overwhelms the track with his presence. I'd like to see more Rza-Kudi Collaborations. Brothers features another appearance from King Chip and also A$ap Rocky, the beat is very wavy and perfect for his style. I like the uptempo vibe Burn Baby Burn. Lord Of The Sad And Lonely came off to me as another strange track.
Overall, Kid Kudi has his own alternative hip-hop niche with a totally unique style compared to any other mainstream hip hop artist. There are really good songs on this album but also a lot of strange one. I give this album 4 out of 5 stars.
