Kick off the season with the Mid-Atlantic Holiday Beer Festival

And here we go, boys and girls! Let the holiday drinking begin!

It makes sense to me. Why wait until your relatives drive you to drink, when you can actually enjoy yourself with some excellent beer and even more excellent company (i.e., me) this weekend? So instead of working on your excuses to skip that family Christmas party this Saturday night (December 10th), why not just get a head start from 1-5pm at Pratt Street Ale House with the Mid-Atlantic Holiday Beer Festival

Honestly, I can't think of a better idea. Join the region's best breweries at Pratt St. for a celebration of suds like no other this December. For only $40, you can sample all you want from Brewer's Art, Brewer's Alley, DOG Brewing, DuClaw, Evolution, Flying Dog, Heavy Seas, Oliver Ales, Red Brick Station, Stillwater, Troegs, Victory, and Weyerbacher! If that's not a killer lineup of some of the best breweries on the East Coast, I don't know what is!

Look for winter seasonals and other special release brews, and maybe a few cask-conditioned ales as well. Plus, I expect many of the brewers and sales reps will be attending, making this a great occasion to talk beer and brewing with the industry's finest... (and that one guy nobody wants to name...) And if that weren't enough, food is included in the price, which should help you hold it together until after the event. So get your tickets here soon, as it will probably sell out. Then thank me later when all memory of your cousins' fist fight is erased before dinner later that night.

Merry holidays, everyone!
