Fall is upon us. Starbucks kicked off autumn a little early this year by launching their Pumpkin Spice Latte at the end of August, but don’t let that rush your holiday and seasonal decorating timeline. Enjoy your holiday decorations during their season, but don’t let the magic of each wear off too early.
October is finally here, so it’s officially the season of pumpkins, spider webs, and faux gravestones in your front yard. Thirty one days is plenty of time to enjoy your All Hallows Eve décor, so don’t rush the process next year if you’re guilty of breaking out your decorations a little early this time. Decorating on October 1 or during the first weekend in October will give you plenty of time to scare your neighbors without the grueling effects wearing off too soon.
Hopefully you spent September creating new pieces to use during the upcoming months. Craft stores across the country generally start selling Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas DIY supplies by the end of August, the perfect time to put your end of summer blues to good use fashioning new and updated décor for the holidays ahead.
Specialty Halloween stores have also suddenly taken residence in abandoned shops and buildings. You generally start to see these places pop up early to mid-September. Inventory your supplies and your newly crafted pieces before heading here to stock up for this year. Remember, always think if you can make it before you buy it.
