Recently, KHOMBU, a waterproof footwear brand for men, women, and kids, had its Fall 2014 press preview at Red Light PR’s showroom in the Flatiron district. KHOMBU, which was named after the Khombu Valley in Mount Everest, started off as a popular brand for the Après ski industry. It’s still embraced by that category, but it has also captured the outdoor enthusiast market year-round. The innovative footwear is comfortable, functional, stylish, and perfectly engineered for any outdoor environment. It has great traction that is provided by its sure-grip flexible outsoles and memory technology elements for ongoing comfort and breathability. Guests at the event were able to view the collection as they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres such as quesadillas, pizza, and vegetable skewers, along with The KHOMBU Cocktail and wine.
The event was the perfect way to get an inside look at the KHOMBU collection and to engage with its corporate team. Brandy McCarty, KHOMBU’s Divisional Vice President of Global Strategies was in attendance, and he shared his excitement for the brand’s growth. KHOMBU is the official boot supplier to the US Ski team, all four seasons of the year. The brand has created a great line of functional footwear with on trend colors and stylish materials such as faux fur and fleece. Highlights from the Fall 2014 collection for women include the Bryce, the Lily, and the Mavis; highlights from the men’s collection include the wanderer, the Tamarack, and the Flume 2; and highlights from the kids’ collection include the Scoot and the Juniper that are available in styles for boys and girls.
