Khloe Kardashian’s husband, NBA player Lamar Odom, rejected an attempted intervention by Los Angeles Clippers and former Los Angeles Lakers teammates on Monday afternoon, according to a Radar Online report on Aug. 27.
Reportedly, the talks lasted three hours in a Los Angeles hotel room where Lamar was staying. Sources tell the website the 33-year-old appeared to be under the influence of a drug.
“Lamar was sweaty and talking very fast. His hands were shaking and he couldn’t sit still. He kept pacing in the room,” a source said.
“There was a bit of time it appeared that Lamar was going to admit publicly his addition and go to rehab, again,” the insider added.
“But then, he abruptly bolted from the hotel and left the premises.”
The source tells the website Lamar’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, was also at the intervention and made multiple calls to Lamar pleading for him to return to the hotel. But, Lamar apparently refused.
“One minute Lamar is agreeing that he needs help and 30 minutes later, he says he just needs to be left alone. This is extremely serious, but there is really nothing anyone can do to save Lamar unless he wants to save himself.”
It has been reported Lamar’s abusing crack cocaine, but the source said NBA champion, is suffering from an addiction to OxyContin and Ambien.
