Khloe Kardashian’s estranged husband Lamar Odom was quick to accept an offer to head to Spain to play basketball earlier this year, after there was no interest from any NBA teams. After his contract ended with the LA Lakers, he has been having a hard time getting back into his hardcore playing ways. His stint with the Dallas Mavericks were short lived. According to a new Us Weekly report published on March 15, Khloe Kardashian’s estranged husband is not planning on going back to Spain after getting injured on the court.
"The tests carried out in New York by Lamar Odom's trusted medical team, with the knowledge of the club, have shown that the player is suffering from lumbar radiculitis, which could keep him out of action for up to two months," a spokesman for Laboral Kutxa has revealed. "The player therefore terminates his current contractual relationship with the club. The north American pivot will complete his recovery in the United States."
In other words, Odom suffers from a painful spinal injury that causes lower back pain. One can imagine that this would be extremely painful to play with. And it sounds like Lamar is thankful for the support after announcing his decision to quit the team. "I'm very grateful for the understanding," Odom said in a taped interview with a team rep. "Not only the people of the Baskonia basketball organization, but the people -- who've shown an appreciation for me and not just a basketball player. It goes so far from beyond the basketball court. I would like to thank you for the continued support."
Of course, Lamar has also revealed that he hopes that his divorce to Khloe Kardashian won’t happen, so one has to wonder if he is heading back to the U.S. to save his marriage to Khloe. What do you think?
