Some people celebrate weight loss by buying a new wardrobe. Others rejoice by indulging in a massage at a luxury spa. But when you're Khloe Kardashian and have lost 30 pounds, the path to embracing your slim-down success is clear: "Now I can sex it up a little," she declared, reported MTV on Dec. 30.
And as part of that ambition to show off her sexy silhouette, Khloe is posing in a photo shoot for the UK edition of Cosmopolitan. It's part of her vow to welcome the New Year.
"I love the new year, new beginnings. I need a good fresh start. I'm excited for this year to be over with," she declared. However, she's proud of her efforts during the past year when she won her weight wars.
"In the past year I think I've lost around 30 pounds, and I'm feeling good," Khloe emphasized. "I've worked very hard on my body."
And to "sex it up a little" fashion-wise, Khloe has a goal.
"My 2014 mission is to wear a crop top with jeans. I've never done that so it has to happen one day," she vowed.
So how did she shed the weight? Khloe told Entertainment News that it's all about exercise.
"I would rather work out four hours and eat a piece of cake," declared Khloe.
In particular, Khloe emphasizes that good food is part of her family life. And you've got to keep up with the Kardashians, even when it comes to calories and carbohydrates.
"For eating, honestly, I love food and I feel like that's family time, it revolves around food," she explained.
However, for exercise Khloe has some help - and it's not all in the family. She's hired celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson, tweeting her thanks to him for pushing her:
"Holy s**t balls that workout was brutal!!!!! But thank you @Gunnar for pushing me through it!" she tweeted.
Gunnar uses a boot-camp approach, and has put his training regime into fitness DVDs, including "Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets: Training Camp: A Fundamental Full Body Workout." He's also authored a book "The Workout: Core Secrets from Hollywood's #1 Trainer" (click for details).
