Khloe Kardashian fired from 'X Factor'; Mario Lopez keeps hosting gig

Was Khloe Kardashian fired from "X Factor"? According to reports (Monday) Kardashian was fired from her co-hosting gig alongside Mario Lopez. The New York Post was the first to report Khloe's firing claiming the show cut ties with the "Keeping Up With the Kardashian" star after she failed to connect with viewers.

Khloe was tapped for the gig in October 2012 and admitted she had little, if any, television hosting experience. The reality star claims 'X Factor" producers didn't want to her to get any kind of stage coaching so that she would be herself. But the Post quotes hosting expert Marki Costello as saying her lack of experience may have been her biggest downfall. “It was really hard for me to watch Mario with her. It made me, as a viewer, almost uncomfortable," Costello said.

Khloe's co-host Mario Lopez has reportedly been asked to return to "X Factor" next season. Her departure follows Britney Spears' last month, along with judge L.A. Reid's.

At the time of this publishing, none of the Kardashian klan, nor "X Factor" creator Simon Cowell made mention on social media of today's reports that Khloe Kardashian was fired.

A spokesperson for "X Factor" says producers haven't made any decisions on talent for next season of the hit talent show.
