Big changes are in store for ‘The X Factor” and it is critical for the show to get everything right this season. Fox has cut Simon Cowell's funding drastically for season three. Cowell must replace Britney Spears and L.A.Reid with less expensive judges. Simon also needs to reconsider if two "X Factor" hosts are really necessary. The show will fire host Khloe Kardashian as reported by Entertainment Weekly on Feb. 18, 2013.
An insider told the New York Post, “They are asking Mario Lopez to come back, but not Khloe.” Kardashian’s rumored exit follows the departure of judges Britney Spears and L.A. Reid. Demi Lovato remains in a very good spot to judge "X Factor" next year. Her $1 million a year paycheck fits into Simon Cowell's new budget nicely.
During the next month there will be negotiations going on with many stars. Rumors will heat up and fizzle out daily until the official contracts are signed. The hosts' contracts are usually the last decisions made. Khloe Kardashian should expect to be cut next year, but Fox won't confirm it to the public until the week before the live shows start.
