Khloe Kardashian divorce rumors continue to swirl as new details emerge about her husband's alleged crack addiction and the strain it's putting on their four-year marriage. On Sept. 27, the couple's fourth wedding anniversary, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star even dropped her married name from her Twitter account before posting a series of upbeat tweets, including, "Thank you!!! I love you all dearly!!!! I love you.... Mean it!!!!" to her followers.
Back on Sept. 25, Lamar Odom released a statement on Twitter (his first tweet since July) that seemed to address the negative reports circulating over the past several weeks.
In the statement, he brings up his troubled relationship with his deadbeat dad, Joe, who has himself struggled with substance abuse. "He is my downfall! His own demons may be the ONLY thing he gave 2 me," Lamar wrote. Lamar continued, seemingly talking about his father dissing the Kardashian clan, "He [is] disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return."
'KUWTK' Star Drops Married Name on Twitter, Is 'Glad' She Never Had Kids With Hubby
A day earlier, Radar Online published a scathing interview Joe Odom had given concerning his opinions of the Kardashians. In the interview, Joe calls Kris Jenner "an evil b--ch" and said he'd like to see his son dump Khloe and the rest of the Kardashian family altogether. "Someone’s got to speak out, I’ve got to do something about this. It’s simple. They brought him down. He would be better off without them. Let him go and get his life together. I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe and as a single man try and get his life back together.”
New mom Kim Kardashian didn't emerge unscathed, either; the sex-tape-star-turned-reality-mogul is none too welcome in Joe Odom's family, according to him. “I heard Kim say they don’t have crackheads in their family. That pi--ed me off. Look at where she came from. We don’t want porno stars in our family."
Lamar's dad even suggests the Kardashian's may be the ones supplying his son with drugs and says Lamar would still be doing just fine if it weren't for the reality TV family. (Read the full interview here for more.)
For her part, Khloe has dropped the 'Odom' from various social media accounts, and, a source claims, she is telling friends she's glad she never became pregnant by Lamar. It seems tragically (or, perhaps, mercifully) ironic that Khloe would say such a thing considering how vocal she has been about wanting a baby, her public struggles with fertility and how, at least on on the show, it sometimes seems as if she feels a little left out now that Kourtney and Kim are both moms. But, if true, it makes perfect sense.
Said the source, supposedly a friend of Khloe's who talked with OK! Magazine recently, “She’s actually thankful she didn’t have kids. It would have been unfair to a child to bring them into this chaos."
The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" starlet is determined to be a mother though, and is said to be seriously considering adopting a child on her own once the situation with Lamar is more clear. A rumored Sept. 11 visit to an adoption lawyer in L.A. may back up these reports, and details of the visit may appear on the reality show at some point.
"Keeping Up With The Kardashians" will resume airing new episodes again on Sun., Sept. 29 on the E! network.
