Khloe Kardashian is denying reports that she cut off her live phone interview with Australian morning news show "Sunrise" on March 17, 2014. She was on the TV show to promote the Kardashian family's fashion line, which includes baby clothes.
According to E! News, when she was asked about her niece North West (the child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West), Khloe replied: "North is fabulous. She's so beautiful. She's awesome. And [my other niece] Penelope's obsessed with her and it's so cute to see that cousin dynamic." Then the phone line was disconnected.
"Sunrise" later tweeted: "We thought it was a technical glitch but turns out @KhloEkardashian's people pulled the plug after @Sam_armytage asked about baby North."
Khloe responded with this angry tweet: "Why would I cut an interview short because of North? Get over your self Sunrise... The call dropped... stop reaching for a story. You are so f*cking desperate! Sorry KhloMoney took my phone."
E! News reported that "Sunrise" executive producer, Michael Pell had this to say about the Khloe's aborted interview: "What happened with Khloé Kardashian on the show is a good lesson for publicists everywhere. Don't try to censor natural conversation. You would think coming on to promote a range of clothes that includes a baby line, it would be fair enough to ask about the inspiration. When you watch the interview you see Khloé had no problem with the questions. It's obvious someone on her team did, and pulled the plug. Khloé shouldn't declare war on us, she should declare war on her own publicists."
On March 16, 2014, Khloe was in a more civilized mood when she posted this message on Instagram: "I declare that I will live as a healer. I am sensitive to the needs of those around me. I will lift the fallen, restore the broken, and encourage the discouraged. I am full of compassion and kindness. I won't just look for a miracle; I will become someone's miracle by showing God's love and mercy everywhere I go. This is my declaration."
Khloe co-hosted "The X Factor" U.S. from October to December 2012. She was fired after getting numerous viewer complaints for being an inept and unprofessional host. After she was fired, Mario Lopez (who began co-hosting "The X Factor" U.S. at the same time as Khloe Kardashian) hosted the show solo in 2013 during the third and final season of "The X Factor" U.S.
In December 2013, Khloe filed for divorce from basketball star Lamar Odom, whom she married in 2009 after dating him for less than a month. It was the first marriage for both of them. and they did not have any children during their marriage. Odom has a son and a daughter with his ex-girlfriend Liza Morales.
In the divorce papers, "irreconcilable differences" was given as the reason for the divorce. Several months before Khloe filed for divorce, there were reports that Odom cheated on her with multiple women and has a drug problem. (Odom and Khloe Kardashian have not publicly commented on the alleged infidelity. Odom has made vague references that he might have drug problem, but he has not publicly said that he is addicted.) Odom and Khloe Kardashian were also living apart for several months by the time she filed for divorce.
