It looks like there is more room at the "X Factor" judges table. Rumor has it that all that is left is for the ink to dry on their signatures for Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez to join with judges Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell who have been handling the "X Factor" auditions. But now it's time to go live and let the judging begin.
In a CNN report, "Those two want to do it, and the show is keen to have them," the source, who asked not to be named, said. Producers of the Fox TV music competition and managers for Lopez and Kardashian are putting final touches on the hosting deals, the unnamed source added.
But what about their co-hosts? Cowell told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, “We have to find people who have a great chemistry, but Khloe is definitely up there in running.”
Hmm, does that mean she doesn't have great chemistry?
According to the NY Post, Cowell has been saying he expected to name two “inexperienced” hosts this season, it seems that he is going with at least one with experience, while Kardashian is described as "new to the rigors of hosting."
New yes, but excited as she shares with MTV,
"I've always wanted to do hosting or talk-show hosting, so it's definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do," she added. "To be on such a huge show like that with those judges, I would have so much fun doing that." and "I love Simon," she said. "I think he's amazing. I love personalities like that, because I'm someone who is very straightforward, and I tell it like it is. That's what he's doing. He just doesn't want to blow smoke up people's (edited for content)."
Some may say that Lopez is a perfect choice, since he does have quite a bit of experience after his time spent on the scene with "Extra" as well as his work on “Dancing with the Stars” “Hollywood Squares,” “Nip/Tuck,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and, of course, where he got his start, Bayside High School’s star quarterback (A.C. Slater on “Saved by the Bell”).
Khloe may be "new to hosting" but she's not new to television. You may have seen here as herself in “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” “Khloe & Lamar,” “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” and “Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.”
Hopefully she won't here those two or is it three little words that she heard on "The Celebrity Apprentice"- "You're fired." Simon Cowell seems just as likely to say it as Donald Trump, after all he has already fired former judges, Steve Jones, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
