After having a few days to come down from my Beyonce' super bowl halftime show high I searched the net for blogs about her performance and any other spilled tea I could find about the Queen and the (not so) surprise Destiny's Child reunion. During my search, I found that I had obviously missed a Keyshia Cole moment of hate and rachetivity!!
Directly following the half-time show, R&B singer Keyshia Cole went to twitter voicing her dislike of Michelle Williams' performance, saying "I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michell sung and woke my ass up from my daze! She always fuckN the groove up"
Later there was a false tweet circulating from Michelle Williams saying, "@KeyshiaCole: I'm Destiny's Child, and you're Frankie's child, you do the math..."
KC rebutted by tweeting, "And yes my mom uses drugs yes it's hard. Yes I'm from Oakland and made it damn far without influential biological parents!"
Williams' later tweeted, "I never tweeted that! Be wise and check the ORIGINAL timeline before you spread more mess! Once again...God bless!"
I've always appreciated Keyshia's music, and I've always loved her "hood-fabulousness" (I just made that word up) but seriously, Keyshia, girl get your damn life!!!! It's always that ONE lost, broken soul looking for attention that wants to try and bring everyone around them down. I NEVER would've guessed that Keyshia Cole would be one of those decrepit human beings but she obviously is. Even if she felt like Michelle was "always fu*kn the groove up", why did she find it necessary to tweet it? For nothing more than attention. It's crazy how low some of these artists will stoop in an attempt to stay relevant.
Keyshia Cole just released "Woman to Woman" in November 2012, shouldn't she be focusing on boosting album sales or something? Last I heard her lead single "Enough of No Love" only peaked at #7 on the Billboard charts, she better be in the studio somewhere writing and re-writing her next album; ain't nobody got time for Keyshia and her cyber-muscles, girl have a seat!!
But wait... that's EXACTLY what she was trying to do if you ask me!!! Earlier today she tweeted "Album (sales) up 24% this week. Thanks to all the fans for buying! <3 UGuys"
CHILE BYE!!!! That 24% is NOTHING compared to the 600% spike in Destiny's Child album sales the night after the super bowl, and that is no exaggeration!!!
Don't try to use controversy to boost your album sales, if you want to sell albums won't you try BOOSTING YOUR TALENT.... Luckily Michelle kept it classy with her response and just made Keyshia look even more ratchet and desperate than she already appeared.
Ugh, I'm once again disappointed.
