Keyshia Cole is feeling very much loved after slamming Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams' performance during the Super Bowl Sunday night. Responding to fans and critics Monday, the R&B singer is thankful for everything negative that people have said about her.
"Think I stopped blocking people because I like to see all the time haters spend on my timeline. It's really love in a way I guess," Cole said Monday.
As widely reported, Keyshia Cole shouted out Beyonce during her performance at the Super Bowl, but seconds later slammed Michelle Williams, who took the stage with Kelly Rowland, performing a medley of hits like "Independent Women."
"I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michelle sung and woke my a** up from my daze. She always f***n the groove up," said Cole.
After taking a lot of criticism from fans, some saying she should have several seats and learn how to sing and dance before commenting on someone else, Keyshia Cole tried to defend herself.
"And yes my mom uses drugs. Yes it's hard. Yes I'm from Oakland and made it damn far without influential biological parents," Cole responded. "But hey. I love y'all too. And y'all girl is wack and always will be!"
That said, Keyshia Cole got even more feedback from fans, some saying she will never perform at the Super Bowl.
"So Keyshia Cole shaded Michelle when she can't even headline a radio station show for her own city. And will never perform at Super Bowl," said a music fan.
Not taking comments like that lightly, Keyshia Cole responded.
"The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me," said Cole.
As previously reported, Michelle Williams did not respond to Keyshia Cole by name, but she did say "God bless" after thanking fans for their support Monday.
