Keyshia Cole is feuding with Beyonce on Monday via Twitter, bashing the massive pop star for releasing a song called “Bow Down.”
The new Beyonce track, which is her first new song in almost two years, calls out women who want to be in her inner circle but first need to bow down to her greatness.
“I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world/Don’t forget it, don’t forget it/Respect that, bow down, b*****s.”
Now, Keyshia Cole is going after Beyonce on Twitter about the lyrics—without actually naming Beyonce by name.
“Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk sh*t when convenient 2 FOH,” tweeted Cole on Monday.
Keyshia then followed that tweet up with the following.
“First ‘Women need to Stick together’ now b****s better Bow. Smh. But it’s all G! Chicks stay shooting the s**t. But when I speak my mind its a prob. #Well #StayMad.”
Keyshia is most likely referring to Beyonce’s previous music, where she often talked about girl power and unity. Songs such as “Single Ladies” and “Girls (Run the World)” were female empowerment anthems.
But with “Bow Down,” Keyshia feels Beyonce is pretending like she’s better than other people.
