Actor Kevin Spacey wants a federal judge to send the woman convicted of stalking him to prison. The woman was convicted of sending Spacey electronic messages threatening to shoot, torture and disembowel him.
Linda Louise Culkin, 55, was scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday in Boston. Spacey’s letter to the judge said the threats from Culkin caused him “eminent fear” and he asked the judge to keep her in custody so that she could “undertake intense psychiatric treatment.”
Instead of sentencing Culkin, the judge sent her for a psychiatric evaluation. She pleaded guilty in November, 2013 to charges including mailing threatening communications, and sending threats and false information regarding explosives.
Culkin’s lawyer insisted in the court documents that there was “no evidence” Culkin had any intent of carrying out her threats against Spacey. She is asking that Culkin be sentenced for mental health care at a halfway house.
