Bakersfield Congressman Kevin McCarthy, the majority whip of the U.S. House of Representatives, is hosting a seminar on Valley Fever today and Tuesday. Current information about the disease, research, vaccine development, and how to reduce one's chances at contracting it will be presented.
Speakers will include some of the leading experts on the disease.
The event kicks off today with an afternoon reception for Valley fever survivors and a community forum this evening, followed by a day of presentations and discussions tomorrow.
