Kevin Love re-fractures hand in Timberwolve's win over Nuggets

Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love re-fractured his hand during the team's recent win over the Nuggets, according to a Jan. 5 Sports XChange report via Yahoo Sports.

This is the second time this season that Love has been sidelined for the injury. He missed three weeks after fracturing his hand on Oct. 17. Unfortunately, the team will lose him again due to the injury, which occurred during the third quarter of their game on Jan. 3 against the Nuggets.

Coach Rick Adelman said,

"He's a huge part of what we were hoping to do and now we have to find other ways to do it. Even in the game in Denver, people talk about his shooting, but he had 13 rebounds at halftime and 13 points. That's two big numbers. We have to find a way to manufacture those numbers and find a different way to play."

Soon, Kevin Love will visit New York specialist Dr. Andy Weiland, and it is possible that he will have to undergo surgery because he re-fractured his hand. What an unfortunate re-injury for Love and the Timberwolves. Love has been their leading scorer averaging 18.3 points per game. He also pulled down 14.0 rebounds in just 18 games.

The Timberwolves have suffered a series of injuries this season, and Love's re-fracturing his hand is just the latest in a long list of team injuries. It has obviously negatively affected Minnesota's entire season.
