Kevin Hart, Ice Cube and John Leguizamo star in "Ride Along", an anticipated comedy set to be released January 17 2014. Hart has been trying very hard to promote his movie as seen on his facebook page and Instagram posts. He has been travelling alongside producer Ice Cube who is also undoubtedly grinding in order to create positive turn-outs for his new movie. With another "Friday" movie still unreleased, Cube set his sights on "Ride Along" for the time being.
Here is a synopsis from firstlookonline:
For the past two years, high-school security guard Ben has been trying to show decorated APD detective James that he's more than just a video-game junkie who's unworthy of James' sister, Angela. When Ben finally gets accepted into the academy, he thinks he's earned the seasoned policeman's respect and asks for his blessing to marry Angela. Knowing that a ride-along will demonstrate if Ben has what it takes to take care of his sister, James invites him on a shift designed to scare the heck out of the trainee. But when the wild night leads them to the most notorious criminal in the city, James will find that his new partner's rapid-fire mouth is just as dangerous as the bullets speeding at it.
We have all seen Kevin Hart at his worst in films like "Scary Movie 3", "Epic Movie", "Meet Dave", "Soul Plane" and a little nightmare referred to as "Scary Movie 4", so what makes this film worth watching? Well, Ice Cube of course! Mr. O'Shea Jackson has an okay track record with some of his worst films such as "Barbershop 2" and "Are We There Yet" still meeting over budget. Not exactly box office hits, but at least his films were not failures. The Ice Cube who is famous for the "Friday" films, the first "Barbershop" movie and "The Player's Club" needs to show his talents in the new film "Ride Along" in order to experience word of mouth and inevitably a box office smash.
