Kevin Garnett to Carmelo Anthony: 'Your wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios' (Video)

At least he picked a cereal that can lower cholesterol!

There was a lot of beef being served instead of baskets on the court during a New York vs. Boston game last week. According to a Jan. 11 article for HoopsVibe, an altercation between Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony was spurred by a comment Garnett made to Anthony about how his wife, Lala, reminded him of what is considered part of a balanced breakfast.

Allegedly, Garnett was "talking smack" to Anthony, and included in the needling was a comment that Anthony's wife "tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios."

The jab incensed Anthony to the point that the Knicks player reportedly "went looking for the Celtic's big man in the locker room and waited for him by the Boston bus."

Kevin Garnett allegedly told Carmelo Anthony, "your wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios." Yum!

In an attempt to perhaps pacify the situation, Lala took to Twitter on Jan. 10 to address the cereal-inspired squabble with a joke.

"Not for nothing, but we ALL deserve a check or some free cereal 4all the publicity we've given Honey Nut Cheerios! LOL," she wrote.
