It is not unusual to hear reports of celebrities, or faux-celebrities as some would say in this case, owing back taxes, and now Kevin Federline's IRS tab has come to light. The former spouse of Britney Spears owes a hefty sum for 2009 and 2010, as TMZ reported on Feb. 16.
The site indicates that Kevin Federline's IRS tab is $30,517.16 for the year 2009 and $27,098.23 for the year 2010. Of course the former Mr. Spears doesn't typically have all that much of a career going other than living off of Britney Spears' spousal support, it would seem, though in those years he did have a couple of somewhat significant opportunities. He appeared in “American Pie: The Book of Love” in 2009, and he was in the VH1 show “Celebrity Fit Club” in 2010.
A federal tax lien has been filed against the pseudo-celebrity, and it seems he may want to get productive finding some work again. This isn't the first time Kevin Federline's IRS tab has come back to haunt him. As the Daily Mail notes, he also was hit for a lien based on unpaid taxes he owed for 2004, the year he married Britney Spears. Federline's rep has yet to comment on the latest IRS trouble.
