Kevin Federline, Britney Spear’s baby daddy, owes the IRS $57K in back taxes

The IRS says that Kevin Federline, Britney Spears ex-husband and father of her two children, owes $57,615.39 in taxes, dating back to 2009, TMZ reported on Feb. 16.

A federal tax lien was filed against K-Fed on Feb. 14. The tax lien claims that Federline owes outstanding income taxes of $30,517.16 for 2009, and $27,098.23 for 2010.

Kevin Federline receives $20,000 in the amount of $20,000 a month. The spousal support order issued in in 2007 states that the $20,000 is payable on the first of each month, and will continue “thereafter until the death of either party, remarriage of Respondent [Federline] or further order of the court.” Spousal support is subject to taxation both on the federal and state level.

Federline has also earned some money of his own with a bit part in the straight-to-video movie “American Pie: The Book of Love” and appearing in the reality VH-1 reality show “Celebrity Fit Club” in 2010. K-Fed also released a song and video entitled “PopoZao” in 2006, but the song and video received little positive attention.
