Kevin Durant revealed on Friday that he will be wearing a Nike KD 6 "Year of the Horse" that was made via NIKEiD when the Oklahoma City Thunder face off against the Brooklyn Nets. Durant posted the all-new colorway on his Instagram account and has already amassed over 41,000 likes in under 25 minutes.
The "Year of the Horse" KD 6 features a bright blue upper with a yellow tongue, red laces and lining along with a white swoosh and KD logo. The midsole is blue with white speckled paint and the outsole is a mix of navy blue and red. Durant's jersey number can also be found on the lateral side of the shoe. What makes this an exclusive at least for the moment is that the graphic print on the upper is unlike anything that can be made on NIKEiD currently.
This season NIKEiD has been pushing their customization program a lot more this season than in previous years, dedicating featured content and kicks that have been designed on the site by NBA players like Ty Lawson, J.R. Smith, Nick Young and Durant. There are currently two special NIKEiD KD 6 editions on the site right now that were based off designs Durant had on the court this year. No word yet on if and when the "Year of the Horse" graphic will be available on the Nike KD 6.
