Kevin Durant disses Blake Griffin's dunk on Perkins against OKC Thunder

It is no secret that Blake Griffin had what could be considered the dunk of the year when the Clippers crushed the OKC Thunder earlier this week. Griffin slammed it over OKC's Kendrick Perkins prompting all kinds of excitment and tweets in the hours after it happened.

However, not everybody was impressed with Blake Griffin's massive dunk. According to ESPN the Thunder's Kevin Durant dissed the dunk. He said,

I have no appreciation for it at all. It was a layup, I think. He threw the ball in and got fouled and made his free throw, so it was three points at the end of the day, no matter how it happened, how it went in the basket. I really wasn't impressed. He finished it. So what? We've moved on.

Except he didn't move on. He went on to say,

I wasn't surprised because Blake is a poster child. He dunks the ball a lot and makes spectacular plays. If it wasn't against us, maybe I'd say it was a good play, but it was against us, so it was a bad play. I have nothing against Blake, don't get me wrong. But it was against us, so I've got to stick up for my teammate.

It sounds like Durant may have still been smarting from the loss to the Clippers. Ultimately the OKC star explained that he was just sticking up for his teammate, which is good because those are the guys he has to play with each game. That relationship is important and a bit like a family.

Did you see Blake Griffin's dunk? If so, do you think it was the best of the year, or do you think that KD is right in his diss?
