Kevin Bacon talks to David Letterman about his wife’s housecleaning habits

Well, Kevin Bacon might be in trouble after his wife sees how he describes her obsession with cleaning. During a Jan. 18 interview on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” Bacon discussed how his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, has become a housecleaning machine and making sure there is not a single dust spot in their Los Angeles-based house.

After “The Closer” wrapped, Sedgwick told Bacon that she would “miss L.A.” Instead of moving there, they decided to keep the place as a vacation home.

“It actually has become our empty nest, since the apartment has Rocky (the dog)” Bacon joked.

Bacon described Sedgwick as an “incredibly generous, altruistic, compassionate person.” However, she never did much housework when she was younger.

“That wasn’t her upbringing,” he said.

With their place in Los Angeles, Bacon said that Sedgwick has become “freakishly anal about it.” Bacon then recreated how she acts in the house when it comes to cleaning.

“I cannot explain it, other than… a change of life, maybe, I don’t know,” Bacon said. “She just loves this house.”
