Kevin Bacon joins the slew of celebrities who ride the subway in New York City, according to a Feb. 5 Christian Science Monitor report.
In an interview with PEOPLE, the actor, who has a home in New York with wife Kyra Sedgwick revealed that he rides the subway and acknowledged that “It's the fastest way to get around the city.” Bacon does not just stare at his fellow passengers, however. He stays busy with his favorite games. “When I'm on the train, I play solitaire, Angry Birds, and backgammon on my phone.”
To avoid getting recognized, the actor who stars in the new FOX hit show, “The Following,” said he had a disguise made. “Fame is very much a double-edged sword,” Bacon said, according to MSN News. “I had a prosthetic disguise made, because I wanted to see what it would be like not to be recognized. I didn't like it very much – no one was nice to me. People didn't bother me, but they also looked right through me.”
Other famous faces have been spotted on the New York subway including Jay Z, Katie Holmes, Katherine McPhee and Hugh Jackman, among others.
